What's on

The River Guardians program delivers a great range of fun and educational events to the community each year. Keep up to date with what’s happening around the Swan Canning Riverpark here.

Stacey Smithers, ‘sustainability extraordinaire’ will offer practical tips for improving soil biology to maintain an active, healthy, organic garden and improve the quality of your home grown food in this interactive presentation. Jarrahdale Primary School has been a proud member of the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program for the past seven years. Participants will explore the school’s extensive veggie patch, orchard area, berry beds and composting systems to build their knowledge.

The monitoring will not involve birds but, just as important, the human disturbances in the area of the beach nesting birds. You will be provided with the equipment required such as monitoring forms and binoculars. The location of the monitoring will most likely be at Point Walter in Bicton.

If you are interested in volunteering and would like to know more, we are hosting a Beach Nesting Birds Volunteer Information evening.
At the event, we will answer all of your questions and, if you think this sounds like you, you will be able to register as a volunteer.
