Name a Dolphin Competition

This competition has now closed. The winning name will be announced on Tuesday 31 May 2016.

One of our dolphin calves is looking for a new name!

The calf, who is approximately 2 years old, is regularly seen around the Riverpark with his/her protective mum Moon.

Here are some tips on choosing a dolphin name:

The winning name will be selected by scientists from Murdoch and Curtin Universities and announced on the River Guardians website and social media on Monday 30 May 2016.

The prize for submitting the winning name is a professionally framed photograph of the calf and an Annual All Parks Pass for one year's worth of free entry to WA's beautiful National Parks.

The competition closes on 20 May 2016.

On entering this competition you agree to the Terms and Conditions.

  • Check our dolphin identification guide, FinBook, for the names of the other dolphins;
  • Dolphin Watch volunteers recently named one of the other calves Cruze;
  • We don't know if the dolphin is male or female yet so choose a unisex name.
